BERNARD HOPKINS vs. JERMAIN TAYLOR (2) HBO

Description : Here we have an original full-size HBO boxing pay-per-view fight poster for the WBC/WBA/WBO world middleweight championship title bout re-match held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, 3rd December 2005.

Ex-champion Hopkins vowed to avenge what he viewed was an injustice & robbery in the first meeting which saw challenger Taylor walk away from the ring with Hopkins undisputed middleweight crown. Taylor had vowed not to chase Hopkins around the ring in the early rounds like he did in the first fight, when he ran out of gas late and barely held on for the win. He kept to his word, much to the displeasure of the crowd at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino that booed the lack of action in the first few rounds. Hopkins did even less in the early rounds, and it cost him the fight. One judge gave Taylor the first six rounds and the other two gave him five of the first six, putting Hopkins in a hole he could never recover from. Another case of Hopkins leaving it to little/to late. All three judges scored it for the defending champion by way of unanimous decision, Judge: Dave Moretti 115-113: Judge: Chuck Giampa 115-113: Judge: Patricia Morse Jarman 115-113
